A Santa Barbara Zoo wedding is a unique and out-of-the-box experience for couples and guests alike! Located on the hilltop of with views of the ocean and mountains, the zoo is the perfect venue for a nature-based wedding. Your guests can experience “Flamingle Hour” while sipping on cocktails, feeding giraffes before dinner, enjoy the sight of penguins walking around in their natural “tuxedoes”, and enjoy a 15-minute ride on the train.
Open to the public until 4pm the grounds clear out for your private event and you have the the zoo for you and your guests to enjoy.

Conveniently located at the hilltop, this is the ideal setting to put on the finishing touches and get into your wedding dress.
Palm Garden Wedding Location
The ceremony site is a lush garden of tall palm trees providing a perfect spot to seat up to 275 guests. Your guests can enjoy the beautiful weather that Santa Barbara is famous for!
Catering
All food and beverages are provided by Events by Rincon. Specialty rental services such as lighting, full wedding coordination, cakes, and decor can also be arranged. Having photographed many weddings at the zoo I can attest to the professionalism and the ability of Events by Rincon and their team to produce a flawless event!
Cocktail Hour Fun
Santa Barbara Zoo weddings are such a treat for guests! Cocktail hour can be enjoyed with the company of giraffes and flamingoes!

Another option during cocktail hour is to enjoy “Flamingle Hour” with the zoo’s famous flamingoes! Not only is it a treat for your guests but it supports the zoo’s conservation efforts.
Reception Site
Located at the zoo’s hilltop, it has a 360 degree view of the mountains and Santa Barbara Harbor. Your reception can hold up to 275 guests for either a plated or buffet style dinner. Events by Rincon can make your decor dreams come to life!

The beautiful landscape of the zoo is a gorgeous backgrounds for photography: lush lawns, gigantic palms, and a pathway of beautiful trees. And don’t forget the train which is always a treat for everyone!
